Dell 13 9300/9310 Laptop is on but no display

The display panel turns into black screen and unable to recover after end-user unplugging the USB-C (Type-C) dongle when the system is idling in System's BIOS menu.

Black screen occurred after end-user close and reopen the lid in BIOS

The display panel turns into black screen and unable to recover after end-user closing the lid while the system is in BIOS or Boot menu.

Cause

No cause information. (But my assumption, the cause is intel based motherboard with built-in RAM)

Resolution

To work around the issue, force a restart of the system by pressing and holding the Power Button for up to 20 seconds.

Updating the latest BIOS version on the computer will help resolve the issue. To download and install the latest BIOS:

Press the Windows logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B at the same time. This hotkey combination will help you restart your PC’s graphics drivers.

In many cases, your Dell laptop black screen error is simply caused by a bad connection between your operating system and monitor. Therefore, you can try the hotkey combination first to reconnect the display.

Boot to Safe mode can be a solution sometimes

Warning: Dell recommends disconnecting any external devices like external hard disk drives, printers, scanners before updating the BIOS.
Warning: Dell laptops must have the battery installed and charged to at least 10% before you begin the BIOS update. Dell recommends connecting the laptop to AC power before proceeding with the update process.
